De Parkmeester
2017

What was once more pasture is now being transformed into a beautiful residential area. Park 16hoven is Rotterdam's newest urban district, and they are still undergoing renovation. Bit by bit you see the neighborhood grow into a new 21th century city district.
Park 16hoven is being developed and built in different phases. The plan is divided into six neighborhoods (subregions) with specific characteristics: Vijverbuurt, Bovenbeek, Rietzoom, Reijsendaal, Hof van Maasdam and the Buitenplaats. In almost all neighborhoods there is the possibility to build a house yourself.

The building The Park Master will be located in the area of Hof van Maasdam in the eastern tip.

The sale of the property began on 11 February 2017.

The appertements complex consists of 70 two, three and four-room apartments. An outdoor area and private parking. And 8 floors. The property of Mark and Sonja is located on the 8th floor and is about 69.

Concept

A concrete research question I'm using:
How can you apply a botanical style in a living environment?
As an interior advisor you will learn how to handle basic knowledge and how to apply it, but for each style it is different. With this theme, I want to show what I can and what you can actually do now by thinking out of the box. By using basic knowledge as a thread and applying spectacular actions around it.

The part questions that apply to this project are as follows:
How can you get nature from the outside while living in an apartment on the 8th floor?
How can you combine different shades of green with each other?
How can you live between the plants?
How can you create a safe environment with all the plants and pots?
How can you still create a warm environment with the cold tones?
All these questions help with the concept.

Nowadays, we find the botanical residential area absolutely amazing. The combination of wood, concrete and elastic materials with green accents and plants are just fine, as long as you keep the base of your interior very quiet like the floor, but for the rest, you can completely detach the green.

But what is a botanical style actually?
Botanical has everything to do with botany. A good example is of course the beautiful gardens in Spain, the vast gardens overflowing with beautiful plants, trees and flowers. If you really like this why not the same style in your own living room? This happens a lot nowadays in 2017, so you can enjoy all that nice greenery in your living room.

The easiest way to do in a botanical interior is to use the floor as a base. This allows you to customize with colors, styles and accessories.
Natural products fit perfectly with a botanical interior. Go for a wood nerve, natural stone or marble floor.

You can finish the interior with beautiful pots full of plants and all the different botanical living accessories like vases, posters, lanterns, boxes, candles and robes. Combining different shades of green is a must. You have to be careful that the shades of green are still restful and fit well together.
