The Boathouse Kralingen

The Boathouse. It's not a house boat but a fancy restaurant at the kralingse plas. My project was about designing and coming up with a concept for the boathouse, because the boathouse already had a concept they wanted us to think diffrent and so we did.

So i started thinking and came up with a concept.
it was about traveling around the world , so the best thing you could serve were world cuisine.
So i started a concept Sailing around the world.

The main focus was the bar, it would be the center point of the whole building so i just focused slightly more on the bar. I came up with a slick design with a lot of wood and natural stones.
My style is to directly begin on a 3d program like vectorworks or sketchup than to draw a sketch on paper.

This is the sketchup I came up with.
After a long period of thinking and measuring.
It was because the joiner needed to make this and it must be realistic to make.
After I was done with the light plan, the furniture and the other things I rendered the bar to make it look nice, and this was the outcome.
